For those interested in the Catholic Church
If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

What kind of religion is Christianity?
It is a religion that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, who was born in Bethlehem about 2,000 years ago. It is based on Judaism, but 2,000 years ago, Jewish people were too obsessed with the rules written in the word "Law". Jesus Christ preached that God's love for humans is something that humans cannot fathom, and as the Son of God, he put that love into practice. In the end, he was hated by the Jews, and even though he had committed no sin, he offered his life as a sinner and died on the cross. After that, he was resurrected among his disciples, and the inspired disciples began to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ as Christianity.
The most important teaching is found in the Bible, John 13:33.
"A new commandment I give to you: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, that you also love one another."
What makes Catholicism different
from other Christian religions?
Catholicism has been passed down from generation to generation by the disciples of Christ. Its foundation is an organization called the "Church", which is made up of priests (fathers) and laity (ordinary people who have been baptized). It is the same as the relationship between Jesus Christ and his disciples, and between the disciples and the people who believe. The role of priest (father) has been passed down from the disciples of Jesus Christ through special ceremonies, and is held by unmarried men. The highest priest is the Pope of Rome (currently Francis).
The church holds mass every Sunday (there is also mass on Saturday evenings) and on special days. During mass, we read and meditate on the Bible, give thanks to God, and receive the Eucharist by surrounding Christ and receiving his body (the Eucharist), imitating the Last Supper that Christ had with his disciples on the night before he was crucified.
How do I participate?
One way to begin is by attending Mass, which is open to everyone. During the ceremony, there is a special rite called Communion, where baptized believers receive the Eucharist, symbolizing the Body of Christ. For non-Christians or Christians who are not baptized, the priest offers a blessing instead. To help participants understand the significance of the ceremony, a Mass program is available.
Additionally, a Bible study group meets on Saturday afternoon.(Currently, Bible studies are held irregularly, so please check the Information page.) This group is open to all, making it an excellent opportunity for those interested in exploring the Bible and deepening their understanding of Scripture.
